We cannot promise a backdrop like the Spasskaya Tower but we hope our audience will make as much noise as 7000 Russians! This week saw the Brentwood Imperial Youth Band officially invited to take part in the Spasskaya Tower Festival aka the Moscow Tattoo for September 2015. kremlin-military-tattoo.ru/en/about/ The Band regularly perform throughout Europe at various Military Tattoos with an array of Military Bands, from all over Europe. But the closest the band has been to Russia is when in previous years it has played alongside military bands from Moldova, Poland and Ukraine. Band Director Johnpaul Wyndham said ‘This our Jubilee Year we thought it only right to show the people of Brentwood what a Tattoo is and we have the Brentwood Tattoo planned for Saturday 11th July in the grounds of Brentwood County High School. It is amazing to think only a few months later we could be performing in Moscow. There are still a lot of logistics to workout but what an invite!’
