We celebrate the 6 time Gold Glover and 1965 World Champion Los Angeles Dodgers, 1st baseman/outfielder, Wes Mr. Steady Parker. Parker turns 75 on Thursday. He was born in Evanston Illinois. He plays his college baseball at Claremont McKenna College and transfers to USC. He signs with the Los Angeles Dodgers in 1963. He breaks in with the Dodgers in 1964. He plays in 1965 World Series and earns a ring with the Dodgers. He plays in the World Series again in 1966. In 1967, he starts a string of 6 straight seasons, winning the Gold Glove award. 1970, he has a NL best 47 doubles, has a career high 111 rbis and hits .319. His last season with the Dodgers would be 1972. 1973 -broadcaster for the Reds.
