We couldnt be more proud to announce that Bowmar and Bovina have received the international award of being named a Lighthouse School. Out of 1528 leader in me schools, our schools share this designation with only 86 other schools in the world!! VWSD has the first two schools in the state of Mississippi to receive this status. We are so proud of everyone who has invested in this effort and immensely thankful to all of our sponsors for your support. We were given the Governors Award of Distinction because of our partnership with our wonderful Vicksburg-Warren County Chamber of Commerce this year. That award gave recognition to the joint commitment toward this project. We are excited for the future of our district and community as we are being contacted from schools all over the state and country for information about our schools. We have three additional schools that are entering the process to implementing The Leader In Me this upcoming year. Greater things are yet to come for our wonderful city.
