We do have a right to protest if we as a people we are not satisfied. In my opinion, however, whatever we were protesting today was fused with a lot of danger. There were a number of different causes and certainly not united, so what we had was similar to the grass on the hills in this dry season awaiting for that one spark to start a conflagration. In hindsight I must question the wisdom of the leaders who instigated this gathering of various factions having different motives. Was this type of conduct one of which we can be proud as our Caribbean neighbours must have been looking on in what has to be amazement. It is time that we restore some dignity in our Nation. To do this it would appear that we, as a people, have to reconsider the values we expect from our leaders and do what is needed to effect the changes we desire. It is time we restore some dignity in our Nation and in so doing start setting the proper examples for our children. Alvin
