We doubt that Honest Abe would have taken kindly to the racist words of ted nugent or of the republicon party of Sangamon county embracing racists and draft dodgers like nugent but that is the republicon party in Sangamon county and in Illinois folks ! The klan is alive and well in Sangamon county and in Springfield, Illinois the Land of Lincoln ! The Sangamon County GOP’s Lincoln Day event will take on a rock and roll flair this year. Ted Nugent, who is an avid hunter and defender of gun rights, will be the keynote speaker. This year’s gathering February 10th will take place in the evening at the Prairie Capitol Convention Center. The party’s website says the cost to attend is $100 per person or $150 per couple, with the money benefitting the local Republican Party. One of the local republicons state Rep. Rich Brauer, R-Petersburg, said Nugent went “probably a little farther than I would have gone” with some statements, “but there wasn’t really too much that I disagreed with.
