We either rest in the fact that Jesus truly knows the Father, has been in close, intimate face to face fellowship with the Father for eternity. And that theirs is a perfect relationship, into which He has included us, His own special relationship, sharing it with us comletely. The reality is that we cant or dont have our own personal relationship with the Father, never have had and never will! This brings great liberty from religious bondage, freedom from spiritual striving and flustration, produces an unearthly assurance, Jesuss own peace and a share in His boundless joy in the Sirit of His Sonhip ! On the other hand you can try and emulate Jesus and His relationship with His Father, as we all have done! You could religiously set up and try to maintain your own personal relationship with God alongside Jesus, or even attempt to follow in His footsteps, you may even try beeing non-religious about it all, even classifying yourself as spiritual, but not religious, go through all the motions you see in Jesuss as He relates to His Father ad infinitum! The fact being that you are simply setting yourself up for frustration, failure and spiritual burn-out! It is Jesus who by His own admission is in the Father, that we are furthermore in Him and He is also in us.
