We go through our lives so busy...so preoccupied with the chaos, the routine. Kids, jobs, bills, commitments. Being far away from people is hard, and yet no matter how close I get, there are always people far away (cant be everyone at once). Being in the military always takes you so far away, and even though you try to go back in town to visit, theres never enough time to see EVERYONE. Over the years Ive lost friends, cousins, family...so many it seems unreal. And every time I lose another, it doesnt get any easier...only harder when I go home wishing I had more time, worrying who I missed, and worrying more when I cant come home to visit for awhile. I lost a very dear friend yesterday, and I just remember the last time I dropped by State Farm to see her she wasnt there. All I could do last night is think about that...but then I remembered the time before that I did see her, the way she was laughing and smiling like she always did, joking around with me, and giving her a hug. She was such a spirit of life, and such a leader and encouraging soul. I remember lunches in the office, dressing up for Halloween, and work road trips to Branson! So many good memories that I will never forget! Thinking of you Teresa!
