We had Parent Teacher Conference today. It went well. We met with his teacher, Communicationist, and his advocate. If he continues making the same level of progress thru the end of the year, they think he will be academically ready to attend regular kindergarten. However, they arent sure he will be behaviorally/sensory ready for reg kindergarten. He still has to wear the hugging jacket and sit on the vibrating pillow to allow him to be calm enough to focus & sit still for certain activities. Plus he still has a hard time understanding directions (in front of, behind, next to, etc) and instructions/request with more than step. But we are just gonna keep working with him and continue to make progress where we can. They all said he was very funny and constantly amusing them. In fact, the first thing he said to his teacher this morning Ms Caffreina, Be prepared to be blinded by my pure AWESOMENESS!
