We had a terrific time last week with our good friends from John Kohnke Products paying us a visit at home to come and meet some of our horses, take a few photos and videos, and talk about their nutrition and health with us. It was great to meet some of the people behind these excellent products that weve had such outstanding results with. Im all about using hard science and proven results to support our equine athletes, not just following fads and marketing, and these guys are super nerds!! But seriously I strongly believe that horse owners need to know products are safe, of the highest quality, and actually work before adding anything to their precious horses ration. Its also great that they took the time out to talk to us about some of the quite specific issues we face keeping our performance dressage horses training and competing at the highest levels around the country. Its extremely challenging trying to balance the needs of a horse thats necessarily a bit hot and sharp that suits the requirements of the Grand Prix level, that doesnt explode when faced with a scary competition venue, that also needs enough feeding and supplementation to develop the considerable muscle strength demanded by the sport. Anyway we had a great day and I need give a big thanks to them for awesome products such as Mag E (we wouldnt have survived all those scary indoor arenas without you!) and Muscle XL (for keeping our horses big and strong without being over the top) and finally for Cell Grow that ensures our little ones fulfil their potential for being awesome later in life!
