We had an all day adventure today that took us all over Vacaville but what we found was much more than what we originally started out looking for. Started out driving wherever our instincts guided us. That brought us to a street/cul-de-sac in the middle of nowhere where this couple told us to go to the library cuz homeless people hang out there. Then mentioned something about the Opportunity House. We go to the library and find a cop who tells us about a few places. One was the creek that runs adjacent to the freeway and the Opportunity House. We go to the dead end and walk the creek (in the video) & find nobody. Then we hit the Creek Walk. It was beautiful and fun but found nobody. We Google Opportunity House and gps our way to a thrift shop. I tell them I dont want to drop all of this stuff off to be SOLD to homeless. I want to GIVE it to them. So she gave me the address to a place that is a shelter for homeless. Turns out its called The Opportunity House! We found it while driving and walking around for 4 hours. The gas guage never moved. We dropped off 5 bags of stuff and what we got was a fun day exploring and such a great feeling giving the homeless what we could. All in all it was a great day!
