We had quite a few people come in yesterday asking for things to be fixed by people who tattoo at home (scratchers). The shocking part is, once realising that tattooing is not something that just anyone can do, the first thing you want to do is fix it. The advice here is not to worry about your physical appearance but to take yourself off down to hospital and get a Hepitits and all the other blood born disease checks. Even if someone uses fresh needles all the other bits of their kit are not sterile, grips tips, etc. which need to be Autoclaved (which costs around £4k) and are not sold to anyone without a licence. A licence is also a moot point, even if someone has a licence or have been licenced in a shop, their premises is not licenced and therefore the tattooing is still illegal. The Licence is only valid in the shop that it was issued for and needs to be transferred when tattooists move shops, as did we with our new shop, which is only half a mile down the road from our old shop. There is no such thing as being qualified or certified as a tattooist, there is no certificate of achievement so do not believe anyone who bullshits you with this info. The price you pay for a cheap home tattoo is easy on the wallet but can potentially kill you. How much is piece of mind worth knowing that youll be safe? We have Stuart Forster Artist Ryan Shann and Stephen Coleman at our shop who are all fully experience, licenced and first aid qualified, in a state of the art, brand new shop to make sure your safety is our number one priority. If you want a cheap tattoo come and chat to Nero Piercer who is apprenticing at a discounted rate, which will still be ten times better than going to a scratcher. Have a safe weekend people!
