We have an ADOPTION..... PRECIOUS now named SMOKEY never actually made it to the pack - we saved her from Dallas Animal Shelter and she was flown down with the two beautiful sisters, PEACHES and PECAN, to New Braufnels, picked up by Amanda, her dad and kids and well that was that. I met them to get the dogs and Amandas dad had totally fallen in love with her - so we agreed they would foster her until we have had an x-ray on her leg. Well the x-ray showed she had had a broken pelvis and broken leg, both had heeled, but the leg / knee has not heeled properly and so she needs surgery to re-break and re-set. I will be setting up a fundraiser for this at some point, since she came to rescue injured and it is our responsibility to get them healthy, but we can still make it official and get her the surgery when we have raised funds. It is an injury not causing her any pain, just not being able to use the leg so it isnt urgent, but we plan on getting it done ASAP. SO HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to SMOKEY and her new family - since they are already volunteers we will of course get all the great photos and updates.
