We have an event coming up on 12/16 at 7:00 - 8:30pm at Richwoods Christian Church, Knoxville Campus in Peoria! Join us that evening to assemble car kits for foster care caseworkers. Caseworkers often spend hours transporting foster children to and from visits, doctor appointments, etc. These kits help the time pass quickly for these kids, and also provide supplies for caseworkers. So...what goes into one of these kits? See the list below - and feel free to add any other items that would be helpful and appreciated! Supply List Storage container with latching lid (you can get these at Walmart, a pack of 5 for $5.00) - we need these to put supplies IN!! Car air fresheners Childrens music CDs Games/books/activities for kids of various ages Non-perishable single serving snacks Hand/face wipes Kleenex Gift card for worker ....the possibilities are endless. If you have a question whether or not something would be appropriate, just ask! These car kits will be delivered to agencies before Christmas. Hope to see you on the 16th!
