We have apparently utterly forgotten Iraqi refugees, not to mention those still living in Iraq whose lives are utterly shattered; there is still no reliable electricity, poor telecommunications, little access to decent health care or jobs, and certainly no freedom from fear of being blown up in your own neighborhood, or home. Many Iraqis who were forced to flee their homeland ended up in refugee camps in Jordan. And there were already tens of thousands of Palestinian refugees in both Iraq and Jordan. They are all people without a country, without much hope. Unless we do something to ensure they and their offspring have a future.
