We have had Samy in our care for a while now. She is not an easy dog by any means because of what shes been through. Samy was not brought to the UK by Safe Rescue but we took her in when it became apparent that she needed a very specific kind of home. Samy came to me when I was living at Happisburgh... she ran across my kitchen worktops like a gigantic cat... she jumped fences... generally she behaved like an extremely loving wild child. Before she left Romania Samy was butchered by a so called vet. We didnt know exactly what they had done to her but her wound was huge and open and had to be restitched when she was rescued. Whatever operation they did they threw her back onto the street afterwards with not an ounce of care of whether she would survive or not. After she had been with us for a while Samy came into season... so whatever that butcher had done to her it was certainly NOT an effective spay. Today Samy has been into our UK vet to be spayed. What our vet found on opening her up was that her left ovary was removed but her right ovary and some of her uterus was still there. An even bigger incision than before had to be made to check a larger area to check for further damage and they found three hernias. We do not have the bill in for this yet but I think we can all guess it is going to be mammoth!! So thankyou so much Romania butcher pretending to be a vet.... you have not only caused our girl a huge amount of sufferance but the money that will be needed to fix the damage caused will also be money that could have been spent on saving several other lives!!!
