We have had many requests for concerts over the last two weeks and are so glad that we are able to fulfill these musical wishes. Many come from towns around Austin and we really need to assure that we have the funds necessary continue to respond right away. A particular area is San Marcos and other towns to the south of Austin. We have been able to respond thus far, and want to be able to expand our service in the areas around Central Austin. To do so requires the funds to assure that we can reimburse musicians for their mileage along with the honorarium. They have been so willing to travel outside of Austin, as have our Volunteer Concert Liaisons. Doing so takes more time out of their day and sometimes other gigs. Wow.
