We have had some strong dry Westerly winds this afternoon. Fire season is well on its way. If you see an unattended fire in the open please contact 000. Recently some residents have tried reporting fires direct to the local brigade, direct to the local staff and even in some cases direct to our Head Office in Sydney. Please remember that the only official way of reporting a fire and having your local brigade investigate is to contact 000. If you feel the fire warrants reporting to the Rural Fire Service for investigation ALWAYS do it through the 000 network.
