We have moved the majority of the big fish back into the Specimen Lake today in readiness for it re opening on Saturday the 27th of December. All of the fish that have gone back in are over 10lbs, with 38 over 20lbs, including 8 at 25lb plus so far. We still have more fish to catch from the stock pond that has been their home for the last two weeks while we have been busy with tree tidying etc. A few low double, non growers are not going to go back in and will be replaced by younger, better fish. All of the cracking 5 to 9lb home grown fish are now in the extension where they can grow on undisturbed until we join the two lakes together (hopefully in the spring). And finally here are two of our best young growers, the mirror is nearly 11lbs and the very unusually scaled common is nearly 9lbs - both were 2 to 3lbs two years ago. Both deserve to named if anyone has got any good ideas - well come up with a prize for the best names!
