We have recorded a discussion on the position of Jammat-e-Islami on the issue whether Hakeem Ullah Mehsood was a Shaheed or not and how come Pakistani soldiers who have given their lives defending the people and state are not Shaheeds This will show all the clips and statements from 3rd Nov till 11th Nov. I think Munawar Hassan did a mistake while speaking; he did not realize the implications of what he was saying; such faux pas can happen while talking to media, in front of the camera, but the position of Jammat, after their meeting today, was sad and unfortunate. They should have found out a middle ground to resolve this but instead have caved in to the authority of Amir who is unable to control his ego...and has proved himself hopelessly unintelligent for taking a position which is against the people and nation state he is so deeply wedded with; leadership lies in having the bigger picture, merely translating is not scholarship... This brings us to the very core of the problem we are facing in Pakistan; we have found it difficult to confront the brutality of TTP because they exploit Islam, their foot soldiers who are willing to die as suicide bombers and those that may give support from inside our institutions - like some on this Facebook page- are also brainwashed to sincerely believe that they are dying for Allah and are killing us for we are somehow part of the kufr; they dont understand the corruption and compromises of the top TTP leadership who have developed various sorts of interests and are willing to exploit religion for their personal power; are they willing to be the suicide bombers themselves...Maulana Munawar Hasssan and Jammat were and are expected to give an interpretation that can wrench the narrative of TTP, they ? Jammat have instead fallen for the narrative of TTP and this is what the failure is...how could they still justify to be the party for people of Pakistan...its bigger than simple religious statement; this is where the mullah mind has failed them; leader has to be bigger than mullah ..... Leadership does not lie in simple reading and translation, it lies in understanding; it does not lie in saying 2+2=4; it lies in making complex calculations in the larger interest of people and nation and then offering solutions; leaders dont have the luxury of being public analysts, this is the job of media and academia...this is where Jammat has failed and that is why despite getting many opportunities Jammats politics is not going anywhere...
