We have replaced the hospital bed with the jail cell, the homeless shelter and the coffin. Rep. Tim Murphy, R-Pa Mental health must become a hot topic among those that hold the purse strings as well as those who provide the services. The way we treat those with a severe mental illness in our state and in our country is inhumane. Keep making those cuts to the budgets, lawmakers. What you dont realize is that we are paying for mental illness in very unhealthy ways - prisons, jails, hospital emergency rooms, etc. The ripple effect is hurting everyone.
