We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure.. Hebrews 6:19 There are times when we feel our faith slipping, when we are overwhelmed by the situation, and when we are bombarded by the cares of this life. During those times it often feels as though God is a million miles away. You cant feel His presence, you arent hearing His voice, you dont sense that He is there and you certainly cant see Him. Darkness shrouds any glimpse of Him. Fear shouts so loudly that it drowns out His voice. You see no end to the tunnel much less any light. You feel as though you are not going to make it, but are going to drown instead. These times hit all of us- some are because we have opened the door to them, some are through no fault of our own, some are just a natural result of life, others are an attack of the enemy. What do we do in those times? How do we stay afloat? How do we keep from going under? What can we do in order to not give up and throw in the towel? Hold fast your profession of faith without wavering. How do we do that? Faith comes by hearing the Word of God. You hold on to Gods Word. So cast the anchor down today and let His Word hold you safely in place.
