We haven’t posted anything in some time but felt the following is very important and timely. The link below is to testimony given last week by Dr. Rob Roy Ramey to the congressional committee on natural resources. Specifically the hearing concerned transparency in the Endangered Species Act. Dr. Ramey’s testimony begins at the 55:15 mark. For all of you that followed the fight on the Bump & Grind it will remind you of the DFGs lack of data regarding bighorn sheep and Bighorn Institutes refusal to share data with local, state or federal agencies. AB 1097 introduced in Febuary of this year will allow DFG to close the trail for three months without showing any data that the trail is in a sensitive area. We deeply appreciate the hard work of Assemblyman Nestande and Perez but feel DFG and Secretary Bonham are responsible for providing this information. Their problem is that the trail is not a lambing area…never has been. naturalresources.house.gov/calendar/eventsingle.aspx?EventID=343531
