We like to describe The Village as a New Urbanist colony. We embrace the ideals of new urbanism here including compact buildings, walkability, narrow streets, public amenities, common space, and a simple life focused on community and leisure life rather than a hectic and expensive life in todays mess of suburban sprawl. Coming to The Village is a way to get away from all that traffic and wined down in a place worth living. We have been described from people as the seaside of the lake which we love to here because Seaside, designed by architect Andres Duany, is the poster child of new urbanism.
