We may criticize UAE for their development strategy, question their sustainability, disagree with their non-democratic regime, judge their foreign policies. They make mistakes on their development path, yes, however, it is absolutely admirable that beduins, with limited history of art production, non-democratic traditions, absence of art patronage traditions, make enormous efforts to build an authentic culture, and prosperous future and construct past. I firmly believe that in a few years the Emirates will become the most important cultural center in the Arab world.
