We must not use synthetic charm - people can tell saccharine from sugar. Instead, follow the example of Jesus, who cared about people even when it cost him so much. Winning someone for Christ is not like scoring a goal and running around on the pitch afterwards, lapping up the applause! It is not about crediting yourself with success, or counting up your conquests. Instead, we need a transparently pure motive of concern. Jesus healed the sick simply because he cared, even though it brought him trouble. He didnt reach out and touch people to make them jump on his bandwagon, but out of pure love for them.
