We need a Declaration of Independents! In 1981 the top 1% percent of Americans earned 10% of Total Income. By 2007 the top 1% was earning 23.5% of total U.S. Income. Before your partisanship kicks in - if you have any - BOTH major political parties took turns controlling congress and the Presidency during these 26 years - which saw steep overall declines in federal income tax rates. Obviously, there are also a lot of complex educational, social, moral, and even technological forces at work. But at the very least we can observe with the benefit of 20-20 hindsight - that income and wealth do not logically, magically, or historically Trickle Down through the economy. I think part of Awakening is the realization that in modern day America, neither of top two parties have the will or the power to right the ship on their own, and if we keep rotating those same two tired old groups in and out of power, we only have ourselves to blame. Lets form groups of good-hearted, good-willed, rational people wholl apply their active-intelligence in balanced, wise and unselfish ways. Its time to shake things up...Think, Vote and Act Independently!
