We pay our hospital bills even when the quality of service rendered is nothing to write home about. We pay our school fees. We organise vigilantee to provide local security. We buy generators to provide our electrity. We dig Boreholes to provide our water. We build our houses. Anyone that wants to ride a car must pay in full. Our public tv stations are just extensions of nonsense, now we have to subscribe to Shylock cable providers to have something meaningful to watch at home. We practically source for our own money for all businesses for banks no longer give loans for fear that the system makes it easy for loan beneficiaries to run with depositors money. Buying tickets for international routes are too expensive from here. More expensive than what we have in all nations on earth and this is because airlines say that our authorities collect excess bribes from them and they need to recoup that investment. We can go on and on. It means naturally that we have men and women in government, but going by the definitions and functions of government in a civilised democratic setting and environment, we do not have government down here. Anything, just anything goes.
