We posted NANA months ago when she first arrived at WAGS. We wanted to update you on how this precious hippo is doing through Josh Wilkins (WAGS volunteer/foster extraordinaire). We LOVE Nana and want to see her in a loving home for the Holidays. Please consider adding this hippo to your home or sharing this post. Thank you all for standing up for Pibbles! When I first met Nana she had given up. She had been abused, overbred, teeth filed and completely shut down. She had no idea how to be a dog and just layed in her own filth because that was her life before. Nobody stopping to look at the big depressed pitbull with cropped ears. I have spent as much time with her as I could, getting her out to play and cuddle. Slowly the sad girl who wouldnt eat or play found her wiggle again! She runs and jumps (as much a 90lbs older girl can). Its been a few months now but she has completely turned around and she greets me with excitement and kisses every time I take her out of her run. She greets strangers with kisses and has even been upgraded from only dog to dog selective so if you have a mellow dog intros are a must! I wish I could bring her home and be her foster butler (like I did with Rhino) but my Buttercup is very pushy and dominant which is not a fit for Nana. She is good with kids but older children would bebetter, she is a VERY big girl! Nana is 5ish, maybe older and can be very silly, she would rathercuddle then exercise but is so happy that she willing tolerates me making her run sprints on our walks (which have to be rewarded with belly rubs). She has made such a wonderful turn around and is ready for her happy ending. Her adoption fee has been paid, She comes with 5 training sessions with @Coast Dog Training thanks to the Stand Up For Pits Foundation!!!
