This week’s Premier Pharmacy East Tennessee “Player of the Week” is Sullivan South’s Christian Cosma. In the 40-0 beat down of Sullivan East last week, the talented senior had 6 receptions for 157 yards and 5 touchdowns. Cosmas scoring receptions covered 46, 21, 7, 21, and 38 yards. He then helped the Rebel defense hold the Patriot offense to just 91 total yards for the game, as he registered 5 tackles, 2 defensed passes, and topped off the evening with a 20 yard interception return for a touchdown. The Premier Pharmacy Southwest Virginia “Player of the Week” is Tanner Hall of Union High School. The senior quarterback went 18 for 27 passing with 303 yards and 3 passing touchdowns; he also added a 7 yard touchdown run in the 33-30 last second victory over previously unbeaten Lee High School. Hall connected with Austin Jessee on a 29 yard touchdown pass as time expired in the epic comeback for the Bears. This week’s Premier Pharmacy Gate City “Players of the Week” is Caleb Herron and Matt Reed. Herron rushed 8 times for 164 yards and 3 touchdowns, adding a 54 yard punt return for a touchdown in the Blue Devils dismantling of Virginia High 48-13. Reed added 55 yards rushing and 2 touchdowns, along with picking up a Bearcat fumble and returning it 33 yards for his 3rd touchdown of the night. The Blue Devil defense held the Virginia High offense to just 137 total yards. Congratulations to these young men!
