We realized that many of you havent heard what we will be doing in Thailand. So, heres a very brief explanation... At the request of the Thai government, our organization (Crossworld) will be sending English teachers to rural towns in Thailand (and have already started.) The rural areas can be difficult places for foreigners since they are very remote with few English speakers around. So, our role will be doing member care for these teachers (orientation to culture, help with communication with the schools, professional development, and spiritual growth/accountability). Many teachers in rural Thailand stay less than a month because of the difficulties. And the most EXCITING thing!!......The government is allowing the teachers to use the Bible in curriculum and to use the school building for after-school Bible clubs taught by the local Thai church!! Wow! We get to bring the hope of future jobs with English, and the eternal hope of the Gospel! There are so many amazing details to all of this we would love to share with each of you!
