We received encouraging news in Chattanooga today! Dr. Tai described Wynnie as highly adoptable since she has such a super personality and all of her problems are treatable. We started antibiotics today for her multiple infections (skin, ears, & possibly even uterine). If she responds well, we may be able to go ahead with the spay and dental sometime next week. The heartworms do present a bit of a risk with anesthesia, but Dr. Federico is an excellent surgeon and I am confident there will be no problems. As expected, Wynnie charmed everyone who met her today. She showed more spunk at the clinic than I have seen so far--and traveled brilliantly in the car! She is a flirt, though, and even tried to go home with Dr. Tai (after he bribed her with treats, of course). Keep an eye out for pictures and videos tomorrow!
