We received this lovely email today following the author visits as part of the Isle of Wight Literary Festival. Thank you for my delightful visit to Lanesend school. I don’t think I have ever come across such helpful teachers and such charming front of house ladies. It was truly a lovely experience being there. One senses a really happy atmosphere and being an ex art teacher it was wonderful seeing the artwork displayed. Thank you so much for inviting me to visit. The children were impeccable with lots of questions and plenty of extra info that was new to me. Author visits are a two way process! One boy gave me an informed description of a boomslang which is a highly poisonous tree snake endemic to South Africa… so I was very impressed. (I happen to have them in my garden there) Im sorry about the lack of hard copy books but the Oliver Strange novels are all available on Amazon.co.uk as e-Readers if there are any children interested.
