We researched many different locations around the city to open Lot 2 and nothing we saw felt right until we saw our present location available. We, like the neighbors that were interviewed, live in the neighborhood and enjoyed walking through the streets of Benson previous to a lot of the current development. What we saw was not a quiet street filled with vacant spaces, but a undeniable potential for a GREAT NEIGHBORHOOD!!!!! What this story does not talk about are the bike/coffee shop, retail clothing stores, salon, art studios, grocery store and numerous other businesses that are going to open in Benson. What they also do not talk about is the national attention that Benson has brought over the last year(Krug Park among the top 100 beer bars in the nation and our very own Chef Joel Mahr was recently named the best neighborhood chef nationally from Cooking Light magazine). Finally, if you look at the development of great neighborhoods around the country that 10-15 years ago were quiet and vacant, you would notice that they started with a vibrant nightlife that followed by restaurants, arts and retail businesses. Does this sound familiar? It should because that is what is happening in Benson right now. We thank everyone that has supported us and other businesses in Benson and hope that others who saw this story follow their curiosity and decide for themselves if they enjoy what Benson has to offer.
