We talk about what whites owe Africans. This conversation has resurfaced in a new way: What the ANC owes us. However, so little of the contemporary conversation has focused on what African (Black) people owe one another. And I fear that in our conversations about what the government owes us, we will miss, yet again, another opportunity to acknowledge the essentiality of placing African womens struggles at the core of our struggles for human equity. That African men wont recognize that the greatest threat to white supremacy is Black Love, that good character is product of soul conversations between your soil, soul and destiny, that marriage is revolutionary and fatherhood is divinity and that respect for black women is the semen that will give birth to revolutions for thousands of years after you have passed on. Black Love is Black Power.
