We the people who like to think of ourselves as believers or believing in G-d without, however, allowing our "belief" to interfere in the practical concerns of our lives: and this we justify by coceding to religion no more than a vaguely emotional role, and by refusing to admit the fact of objective revelation -- for the concept of revelation invariably implies a promulgation, by G-d, of absolute moral values and, therefore, a demand for one,s self surrender to them. Just a thought....
