We toured the Richmond County Shelter today and left feeling - TopicsExpress

We toured the Richmond County Shelter today and left feeling punched in the gut. It feels like we are drinking from a firehose. As fast as we are emptying kennels more are filling them up and then some. We are going to keep pushing though! We wont give up! The faces may haunt us but we are determined to go back because they need us, ALL OF US! We are still very desperate for fosters. If youve been on the fence, please give it a try. You never know, you may find your passion! Donations of high quality food are another excellent tool for putting weight on emaciated dogs when they come out, flea and tick preventative is another must, and of course monetary donations to help with vet care. But most importantly, the best way to help them (and everyone can do this) is by sharing our dogs on your pages. Every time a Stinker is adopted we are able to go save another to replace it. Your shares save lives! If you are interested in fostering or just want to explore the idea, please message the page and Ill be happy to tell you all about it. We also have many active fosters who can tell you their experiences as well. Lastly, the flood of dogs coming into that shelter has to slow down. Please urge the media to continue to spread the word and share the information with anyone who will listen.
