We want to indroduce you a tango couple thats very familiar to all of us, our friends from Cluj, Ioana Lascu and Horia Călin Pop, performing on our friday milonga. We are so grateful to have you alongside us, to thank you for your support troughout these years. Horia and Ioana have been dancing and practicing tango for 5 years now. Their adventure started off as an intense game of learning together and from each other, and grew into a common passion for dancing, teaching, and performing. Their common dream led them even further and in 2011 they started together the Compania de Tango Cluj, one of the most creative and event-friendly tango schools in the region. They have invested a lot into „bringing up” tango dancers and into developing their own skills - long and intense tango learning holidays in Buenos Aires, classes with some of the most respected maestros and dancers, quarterly initiation classes (Start-up weekends), regional tango gatherings (Transylvania Tango Experience in Avrig) etc. They are also the organizers of the most important and grandiose tango festival in Romania, the Tango Cazino Festival. This magical event, taking place at the end of August for 3 years now, is an impressive melting pot where people of different cultures, ages, and schools, get together and relentlessly express their common passion for tango through breath-taking performances and marvelous dancing.
