We wanted to share this message from one of our wonderful theatre patrons about Kiss Me Kate: I had the great privilege of attending tonights showing of Kiss Me Kate. The performance was truly spectacular! Well done to the actors, actresses, dancers, crew, musicians, & support staff! On a personal note, I have often struggled with self esteem, & in my work I frequently see other young women who do as well. I want to commend the theatre for casting such a beautifully diverse group of actresses & dancers for this production. It is so refreshing to see women of varying body types courageously & skillfully performing together. The costume design was excellent, all the way around, & the performers really used them to bring the characters to life. As a silly (but mostly serious) side note, no matter what your size I think it takes bravery to wear a midriff exposing outfit! Way to go, Salina Community Theatre! You hit it out of the park first & foremost for a stunning production, & second for promoting healthy body image for all women.
