We watch A LOT of British TV. And we find some of the most interesting words in their slang. Traffic Wombles - well meaning traffic/road DOT crews. The Scrutineers - Racing Officials. Jacket Potatoes - Baked Potatoes Dodgems - Bumper Cars These are more about pronunciation: AL-U-Mini-Um - Here in the states we say A-lumin-um The Mal - here we say Maul, but we both spell it Mall. Now if you follow me and live in Britain, help me make sure were right about these. We certainly cant rely on Jeremy Clarkson, though wed really love too.
