We were happy and proud to host the newly elected U.S. Representative from the 12th NC Congressional District to the Joint Forces Headquarters today. Representative Alma Adams, amidst a very demanding schedule as she fulfills her duty with the 113th US Congress while preparing to be sworn in as a member of the 114th Congress, took time to visit with us today. We covered a broad brush of issues ranging from the proposed National Commission on the Future of the Army, to the modernization needs of our 145th Air Wing, to various other programs that support her constituents serving in the NC National Guard. Representative Adams resides in Greensboro and previously served for over 10 consecutive terms in the NC General Assembly representing Guilford County. During her tour of the Joint Forces Headquarters we were happy to point out the various programs that were made possible by her voice and support in the NC General Assembly. We mutually pledged to work together in taking care of the people that we both serve - the NC North Carolina National Guard Citizen Soldiers and Airmen residing in her district.
