We were tasked late yesterday afternoon to assist a 6.5m RHIB - TopicsExpress

We were tasked late yesterday afternoon to assist a 6.5m RHIB with 1 POB situated 2 miles or so north of the smalls lighthouse. It transpired that he had become separated from his boat and had spent over two hours in the water before R169 winched him from the water and returned him to his vessel. Using a kill-cord to switch the engine off and wearing the appropriate survival equipment undoubtedly saved his life. We escorted him back to the entrance of Milford Haven, where Angle lifeboat took over the escort and assisted him into Nayland Marina.
