We will not be shaken James 1:2-3 – My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into diverse temptations. Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. “Shaken to the roots!” This is an expression we use to describe a person going through a severe crisis. But nature teaches otherwise. The tree most severely impacted by the storm puts down its deepest roots. The branches may be snapped off, twigs broken and leaves blown away, but deep roots are undisturbed. In fact, they only get deeper and stronger. In the same manner, our existence is like the tree, when we remain in Christ. Our life is hidden in its roots, which the storms of life cannot touch. As we overcome our storms, our faith becomes deeply rooted in Christ that nothing would shake us down…we remain standing in victory.
