We would like to invite middle school and high school students to our next mentoring session, Keeping our Boys Out of the Criminal Justice Pipeline on November 9th, 10am - 1pm. This session is open to the public. Members of the Metro Houston Chapter of the 100 Black Men and the lawyers from the National Bar Association along with Judge Maria Jackson of the 339th Criminal District Court, Federal ATF officers, Kim Ogg, Former City of Houston Anti-Gang Chief, and members of the Harris County Sheriffs Office and the US Attorneys Office will come together for the 3rd Annual Criminal Justice Community Education Initiative entitled Keeping our Boys out of the Criminal Justice Pipeline. This three hour program will consist of role playing exercises and group discussions with African-American and Hispanic Middle School, High School and College young men designed to educate them on better choices when faced with police officers or everyday life challenges.
