We would like to thank Michele Hathcock, the Director of Student Life & Development at A-B Tech, for her assistance in Helpmates Silent Witness Campaign. This is an awareness campaign made up of life-sized silhouettes which represent women and children who have been killed in NC because of domestic violence. Michele and so many other A-B Tech staff members were instrumental in making this awareness exhibit a success. Over the course of six weeks, they moved the Witnesses to various places on campus and set them up on the Enka campus as well. This campaign created a lot of visibility for the issue of domestic abuse and increased awareness of Helpmates services. We received several calls on our 24-hour hotline as a result of this exhibit. We are so grateful for this partnership that has continued for several years and we look forward to collaborating with A-B Tech for many more years to come!
