We wouldnt need to learn about forgiveness if we never made mistakes. Every one of us parents can probably remember times when all the wheels fell off, and we yelled, or otherwise let our anger dictate our responses. Real family life is messy. Feelings are hurt, things are broken, agreements are forgotten. Our redemption from scenarios like these is the ability to ask forgiveness, to request a re-do, to offer to make things right. Real families are blessed to have the opportunity to learn to forgive one another. When you forgive, you in no way change the past--but you sure do change the future. ~B. Meltzer
