Wednesday 28th August, 2013 Diligence will bring promotion 2 Cor. 6:1-9 “We then,……” Those He called, He empowers with grace to function in His vineyard. The kingdom of God is about work and working for God. He didn’t call you to be served but to serve others. May the love for title not take you to hell. God demands that whatever He entrusted to you is handled faithfully. Some are so interested in title that they often forget the work and the responsibility therein. Are you really what you call yourself? To whom much is given much will be demanded. How are you using the grace of God upon you? Giving no offence in anything, that the ministry be not blamed. Are you blameless as a worker? Are you like Joseph who refused and ran away from the evil plot of Potiphar’s wife? Can God say of you as He did say of Job “Have you considered my servant Job? There is no one on earth like him, he is blameless and upright, a man who fears God and shuns evil”. (Job 1:8). Job was diligent in his work and ended well with a double portion of blessing. Joseph’s diligence made him second in command after Pharaoh in Egypt. May you be diligent in that area of your calling. Prayer point LORD Jesus help me to be diligent in my calling. Memorise Seest thou a man diligent in his business? He shall stand before Kings; he shall not stand before mean men. (Prov. 22:29). Diligence pays.
