The Bears play at noon with Turkey ready about 1 p.m. Pot Luck available. Bring a dish to share. Thursday, November 14th - Annual Meeting - 7:30 p.m. Saturday, November 16th - Commodore’s Ball - 6:00 p.m. Appetizer sampler from 6– 7 p.m. in Commodore’s Room. Dinner consists of Spinach Salad with Strawberries, Red Onion & Walnuts in a Walnut Vinaigrette. Choice #1 is a Filet Mignon stuffed with caramelized onions, and Granny Smith stuffing, with a Red Wine Sauce or choice #2 is a Seared Sea Bass served with a Roasted Portobello Mushroom Life Boat with a Wild Mushroom Beurre Blanc. Accompanied by Roasted Red Bell Pepper Duchess Potatoes, Grilled Asparagus, and Flourless Chocolate Cake with Seasonal Mélange of Berries, Whipped Cream and Mint. Beginning at 8:00 p.m., The cost to attend is $90.00 per person. (includes tax & club charge) Please call the club office to make reservations and to give choice of entrée. Saturday, November 23rd - French Night - 6:00 p.m. Once again we present the new wine for tasting. There will be a five course dinner menu to compliment the Beaujolais and we are certain this will be a memorable occasion for all who attend. Cocktails and appetizers begin at 6 p.m. with the uncorking ceremony. Dinner will follow at 7:00 p.m. A bottle of wine is included for each couple to share. This event is limited to 100 persons. Cost for the appetizers, wine and dinner is $50.00 per person. Reservations are required along with choice of entrée. Any cancellations must be received by noon on Wednesday, November 20th or you will be charged for the dinner. Contact the club office to make reservations. Monday, November 25th - Blood Drive - 10:00 a.m. We will be having a joint blood drive (with Peoria Heights Sunrise Rotary on Monday, November 25th from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. You may reserve a time by 1-800-red-cross and access Peoria Heights Sunrise Rotary/Ivy Club Blood Drive. You may also call our local Red Cross contact (Amy Durbin) and leave a message with your name, phone number, and time you would like to give blood. Being that it is Thanksgiving week, anyone donating blood will receive a free pumpkin pie.
