Week 1 Day 5 Final day of Week 1. I arrived at school and sat in the office to fill in my time attendence register. The teachers arrived and we greeted one another. The principal instructed the teachers to direct learners to the quad for Assembly. At 07h45 the bell rang for assembly and learners stood in lines but the majority of learners were still making their way to the assembly and eish they were dragging their feet and when they stood in lines, the boys at the back of the lines wete not standing appropriately and kept on making noise and not listening to the word of the Lord being preached and the choir singing as well. The main reason for the assembly was that the Mayor was coming to the school to hand new uniforms to 20 needy learners for which some learners are not needy as I later heard my mentor telling one of the learners. The mayor himself/herself never came but a representative of the Mayor came and addressed the school and handed the new uniforms to the 20 learners. The assembly ended at 8h40 and there was only less time to teach the matriculants physical science as they were supposed to have a double period. I went to mentors office to fetch the Science textbook and made my way to class. When I got there, I checked their books as to see what should be done. As I was to write corrections, the period ended. It was then the double period for grade eights and they wrote a class test in which I invigilated. I remained in class to collect test papers for grade eights until it was break time. Thereafter, I wrote small notes for Grade tens on Electronegativity. The notes were about how to determine whether a compound is a Pure Covalent; Polar Covalent and Ionic bond based on Electronegativity difference. I then wrote corrections of yesterdays activity and gave them another activity based on the Electronegativity notes I had given to them. The grade ten double period ended and it was time for Grade eights. I told them to take out folio papers as they were to write a test. I invigilated again but they only had one period so they couldnt complete it in time so the teacher said theyll finish up on Monday. After that I sat in the office the whole time and I bought myself Doritos Chips and chowed them. After sitting in the office for a long while, it was then school out. I stood outside and then matriculants came to me. One of them asked me to explain momentum to him but his classmates kept on disruting him and it was girls who did that. The learner told me that hell come back as soon as the girls were gone. I spoke to the learner that received the uniform about the uniform he had received. One came to join the conversation and they begged me for money which I didnt have and I didnt give them. The matriculant came back and I explained to him how to calculate initial and final momentum as well as change in momentum. The learner said he would do the calculations and come show me on Monday. After talking to the learner, my mentor wanted to leave and a learner gave me my bag and I then made my way home. Today I feel that I did something productive and Im definitely happy with myself as I feel that I am now getting my mojo back.
