Week 6: Thursday And today a nice little exercise for our inner-thighs, quads, and glutes – the side-lying leg lifts. Right after the complete short warm-up, and the first three exercises of this W6, lie on your right side, the left feet on the right one. Put your right hand under your head, and the left one in front of you. Lift the left leg straight in knee a few inches up, hold for a second and go back down. Repeat the movement for 30 seconds, then turn over to the other side, and repeat with the right leg. You may treat the leg lifts as a short moment or rest in itself, as you’re lying on the floor, and only one leg at a time is working. Make sure, however, that the muscles of both legs, plus the glutes, are tense all the time during this simple exercise.
