Week ahead forecast and a brief post regarding the Bank Holiday Weekend. Please check back for regular updates and throughout the week you will be able to find this forecast at the UK section of Reality Weather - realityweather.eu/rest-of-the-week-weekend-uk-mixed-but-improving-later/ SUNDAY NIGHT Most of the showers will gradually die away during Sunday night with a dry night ahead, though a few showers may still affect northern and western areas (mainly north west Scotland and the Western Isles). A cool night for all areas with lows around high single figures to low double figures. FIRST HALF OF THE WORKING WEEK (MONDAY TO WEDNESDAY). Becoming increasingly warm and settled, especially across central, southern and eastern areas, but the risk of more unsettled condition across northern and western areas at times. MONDAY A dry day for most areas with sunny spells. There will, however, be a few scattered showers across north western parts of Scotland and it will be quite breezy for all. Temperatures will be around average for the time of year, ranging from the high teens in the northern and western to the low twenties across the south east. TUESDAY A similar day to Monday with sunny spells for many but lighter winds, however late in the day/Tuesday night some outbreaks of rain will begin to affect some northern and western parts. A bit warmer than Monday with temperatures reaching the high teens to low twenties across northern and western parts and the low to mid twenties further south eastward. WEDNESDAY Cloud with some outbreaks of showery rain will be affecting some northern areas but for central and southern areas conditions will be dry with good spells of sunshine. Warm and quite humid with temperatures reaching the low twenties across many northern and western areas but up into the mid to high twenties further south eastward. SECOND HALF OF THE WORKING WEEK This section will be updated with greater detail on Wednesday. Conditions will be mostly dry and warm (locally very warm toward southern and eastern areas) with increasing humidity for the latter part of the working week, however there will be more in the way of cloud across many western and northern areas with a few isolated showers on Thursday and the risk of these becoming more widespread across western areas on Friday. The brightest conditions and highest temperatures will be across southern, central and eastern areas. BANK HOLIDAY WEEKEND To be updated in greater detail on Friday. A lot of uncertainty regarding the Bank Holiday weekend. It is likely to still be quite warm and increasingly humid but with the risk of showery rain and/or thunderstorms breaking out in places. There is a lot of uncertainty regarding which areas are likely to be affected by showery rain and/or thunderstorms but many areas will see some bright and dry conditions at times over the Bank Holiday weekend.
